Jon King has been practicing law for over thirty years and has for the past 20 years successfully mediated the majority of a broad range of well over 1700 civil litigation cases. Jon is listed as an ADR provider with the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas and is a member of the Texas and Houston Bar Associations as well as the College of the State Bar of Texas. For the past 24 years, Jon has been providing outstanding weekly networking programs for the Houston business and professional community thru the After Hours Network which has hosted over 1065 programs and speakers and over 50,000 attendees.  Jon received his bachelor's degree in science and engineering from West Point and served five years on active duty as an officer in the United States Army in a various challenging assignments ranging from Executive Officer of a Hawk Missile Site in Vietnam to the Commander of a Nike Hercules Missile Site in Davidsonville, MD. Jon's legal education began with the National Law Center at George Washington University where he served as an editor of the Journal of International Law and Economics before graduating, with Honors. One legal study, A Look at the Written Product Warranty was published in Quality Progress Magazine and submitted in testimony before Congress regarding the passage of the Consumer Product Warranty Bill.  Jon also presented another legal study, Antitrust Law and Standardization - What Role the Trade Association? Before the FTC Task Force on Industrial Self-Regulation. Regarding his community activities, Jon received the prestigious Chapel of Four Chaplains Legion of Honor Award in 2010 which recognizes outstanding service to the community and fellow human beings.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the West Point Society of Greater Houston, he served as its President in 2001, and has been its Program Chairman since 1980. Jon currently serves on the Board of Directors of the PTSD Foundation of America and is a member of the Rotary Club of Houston, the Bio Medical Technology Club, the Houston Entrepreneur Forum, the Forum Club, the Greater Houston Pachyderm Club, the MIT Forum, and Second Baptist Church.
